Sunday long ride with Nick exploring some new sections of the Forest
Out to Beaulieu, then Bucklers Hard, down towards Lymington up through to Boldre, over to East Boldre, Beaulieu towards the station and back to Eling.
Quite a flat route, working a bit harder with Nick. He likes to push a bit. Roads were good, much better than I expected through that bit. Still not got round to sorting the fuelling for longer rides. Stopped before Norley Wood for a cereal bar. Felt like we were working harder up to the station, feeling a bit tired at this point and through Marchwood to the end. Back was aching, not sure I noticed it too much cycling but by Eling and the end it was achey. The worst it has been for a while (potentially new bibshorts?)

Easy jog around, a fair bit on grass. I was going to walk after work but it looked really nice so thought I'd run. A little colder than expected!

Run to Decathlon to pick up some stuff and some step reps by West Quay
Ran through Freemantle Lake park as somewhere new to run. 10 reps up the old wall steps in differing step patterns, 2 up through past the restaurants and 4 by the entrance. Calves felt tight on the run home.
Feet sore which helped deduce it's more likely to be the socks than the new shoes. Running with a light bag.

Out through Millbrook to the Redbridge Wharf
Somewhere I have never been before! Headed towards the sun and it was nice to find a quiet spot with some views over the water. Think I'll try and do a series of runs the next few weeks visiting new places. Legs felt a bit tired during the strength work.
