Sunday lap of the Forest with Nicole
Thought we'd get out early after yesterday when it took all day for us to get going. Unfortunately had a puncture before we left which was a faff to fix. Then a small argument about route choice in Redbridge and then we were onto open roads in the Forest! Another great day to be out riding, no cars on the roads and sun out again. Headed towards Beauleiu before heading up to Lyndhurst, Acres down, Minstead and back. Learnt a couple of new roads which hopefully will link up in the future. I've down a number of rides in the high 40s but not sure if I've ever done a ride over 50km yet! Probably need to do that at some point. Bum and back the most achey again. Legs felt pretty good the whole way. Nicole got another puncture in Totton so we topped it up and limped back. Cycled on the dual carriageway which was a bit dodgey when the cars joined us from the bottom of the M271. Fortunately all okay!
May use the cycle to work to invest in some new kit: new shoes, new helmet, saddle bag, pump, more inner tubes!
