Lordswood loop with Nicole, out and back on the Greenways taking in a couple of the better trails and runnable woodland
Another leisurely start today then the familiar trails of the Greenways. Still a good way to get into some quiet nature though a bit busier in the middle of the day. Legs felt terrible, really tired and didn't feel like they could run very well.
Went up my diagonal path from the brook, the forest road hill and then through the runnable pine forest. Need to fully work out the route to loop back to the Greenways as the way we went was okay but maybe not quite right? Then a jog back solo while Nicole did more. My right knee started hurting a bit and I had to walk up the hill and home. Bit annoying, then a chilled rest of the day in the garden.

Long bike ride Nicole, out to the Forest through Totton. To Cadnam, Bramshaw, Wellow, Romsey, Green Lane, Baddesley and Rownhams.
Sunny Easter weekend ride. Enjoyed getting out on the bike recently. Hopefully there'll be less cards on the road post lock down! Quite hot going out in the middle of the day! A couple of stops to check on a Forest dweller and some others in Romsey. Then onwards, maybe should've drunk a little bit more or gone out earlier! Felt pretty good, figured out a solution to the gears rubbing a bit (two stage flappy paddle or something). By the end my bum and shoulders were really tight and sore. Would be my longest ride on distance (but my watch died and the last bit wasn't recorded on Strava, distance on here stolen). Shame there were no ice cream or cafe stops! Felt a bit tired after and definitely tired on the Sunday run.

Mr Men hunting in Southampton
A local artist has put mosaics up around the town of Mr Men (and cartoons/super heroes). We'd seen a few of them out and about around town so spent the evening plotted the locations and planning a route. 3 of them were the other side of the Itchen and would've made the run about 30km! Most of them were in Shirley or on the way into town so pretty easy to link up. Some of the are quite funny e.g. Mr Rush where people sit in a traffic jam each day or Mr Greedy right by McDonalds. Fun to link them up. A couple were tricky to find especially Mr Impossible!

Toothill (two ascents) to work
Enjoyed Sunday's ride and had to pick up a docking station from work. Thought they would combine well for an evening plan. Decided to do Partridge lane as well (steeper than the main drag). Legs definitely working on the two steep sections (didn't stand up). Nice to be out in the sun on quiet roads again. The extra weight and wind from work to home felt a struggle at the end.

Another glorious morning on the Greenways
Woke up before the alarm for the first time since the clocks changed and felt good so thought I'd see if it was nice before running or doing strength work. It looked nice! Colder than I expected and probably could have done with a long sleeve top. Nice to be out and it was pretty quiet again
