Caddihoe Chase Day 2 Burrator Brown 2/7 +29s for Day 2
Chasing start, 10 mins behind Ben Chester and 20s ahead of Ed Dickins. Terrible weather overnight so thought it could get cancelled. Fortunately the mist had risen and the weather cleared a bit, Scrappy underfoot and navigating to number 1, thought there was some unmapped woods and Ed got in sight straight away. Running with me just ahead for the next few controls before a small miss to 6 (hadn't realised I had dropped lower and that were was an extra reentrant). A bit of searching and Ed got ahead, I then took two better route choices to get into the lead. A bingo pit which fortunately I hit but a bit hesitant. Then tried to work hard through the wood section. Felt tired going back up the moor then there was a runnable line rather than over the top. Thought the final couple in the wood and rocks could be tricky so came up with a plan (but the attackpoint and big boulder by woods wasn't that clear). Finished a couple of minutes ahead of Ed for second overall and the M21 title. Got the ridciously massive Caddihoe trophy (a big wood plaque and a stag!)

Caddihoe Chase Day 1 Burrator Brown 2/11 +10:29
Quite a long drive down which fortunately Ian did. Felt a bit car sick across the moor and in general didn't feel that good. Weather a bit miserable, took the jog to the start steady. Probably should've asked for an earlier start but just waited, raining in the boxes. Not great to 1, couldn't get the map folded and direction going quick enough (+ a photographer nearby!) Felt quite sluggish for the first half, but just settled in and tried to navigate. On the way to 3 got a bit stuck in the rough and undergrowth. Though 9 would be tricky, especially if visibility was down! Rough bearing and then tried to keep contouring, ended up hitting the control spot on (glad I checked it) goal was to be a bit higher than it. Very rough to the next control (probably should've run round). Then picked up a guy on short brown and our last controls were very similar. I woke up a bit and raced him to the end.

New Forest evening run with Nick from Piper's wait
Got a little disorientated at times and didn't recognise the sections, partly due to being a new area/partly because so many bits of the Forest look similar! Felt a bit tired at times, especially on the last hill but dug in.
Some fading light and definitely dark in the woods about 10 mins after finishing.

OS National Fitness Day
A couple of laps with Louisa, Marion and Simon, then with Matt and then solo. Plus a stops to do some activities. Felt okay enough, right calf felt quite tight in the evening walking to the shops. Another fun day, definitely could have taken advantage of it more.
