Some road and some off road, a couple of muddier fields. One field had an unclear division so went slightly wrong. Made it back almost exactly on time for breakfast. Legs a little tired after yesterday but not too bad.

Hogmoor Inclosure parkrun - 1st and SB
Tourism and one I'd been wanting to do for a while. Was inspiration about where to go away for the weekend. Had been fancying a faster one so thought it was a good opportunity. Old military training area that has been opened up to the public and redeveloped a bit. Started at the front and heading onto the sandy section was in the lead group, they seemed slow so decided to take it on. Was then a bit unsure of the course and was worried someone would catch back up. Didn't look at my watch as I wasn't aware of pacing but tried to keep working. Half the lap quite interesting, the other on bigger trails. Running a bit scared and pushed on. Fortunately took the first finisher, my second ever and fastest time for a couple of years. Waiting for Nicole and she'd managed to run into second place. Was quite surprised when she came round the cotner! Meaning a 1-2 overall and dual 1st place! It's been one of our couple goals. Think I'm happy with how I got on, worked quite hard and couldn't have done much more today. Now to find about 1:30 over a flat and fast course.

Lunchtime Lakes run
Ate my mid morning pitta a bit late, after being unsure if I'd do a lunch and was a bit worried about stitches or reappearance! Legs felt a bit tired after last night's hills. Decided on the Lake and not too look at my watch. Started in long sleeve top and windproof, which proved overkill. Quite happy with the pace of, despite not feeling particularly fast going round.

A bit late again so did some extra warm up before starting. Tucked in with James after he'd done 3 reps. Kept pace with him and hung onto the last couple. Felt hard work and legs tired, probably from the weekend. Quite happy with the times after, not hugely different to previous sessions. I'm just not in the regular routine of sessions...
