Test Valley trails with John
John had suggested 11 miles but said that was too far. This week hasn't ended up being a rest week, same as the week before so I will make sure next week is easy. Loop west from the john o gaunt pub through Houghton to Broughton on the Clarendon way then back to the Test valley. Good to have a catch up, felt the effort at times. Was worried about my niggles from fairly early on, fortunately didn't get any worse. Back started aching a lot stood in John's kitchen. Hoping to continue to improve then build some exciting plans, maybe an OSR mountain weekend.

Closed roads around town and the common, good fun. Mostly pretty steady, some very slow bits stuck behind families and a couple of quicker blasts. Fast on the avenue and a 50m drag race!

Lymington Woodside parkrun + brunch with the gang
Group run for my birthday, with Nicole, Naomi, Rob, James and Vicki. With the Murray-Brown's joining us after. Nice morning out with my friends. Enjoyed the parkrun course, nice ornamental gardens and a very flat course. Fun running and chatting as a group.

Birthday trail run around Fritham with Nicole
A loop from Janesmoor pond, a good combination of trails and fun running. Legs felt a bit tired but was enjoying it. Socks still had grit in them, got blisters on one foot which started to bother me near the end. Really nice route and a really nice day. One of the best runs of the year so far.

A favourite session, really enjoy the loop and think it's very relevant to xcountry. Had planned on being stridey, but was tempted to run properly. Could've pushed harder but felt like I was working a bit. Ran mostly with Nicole. Quads quite tight and tired, from the weekend, strength work and massage. Afterwards felt very happy with that session.

Did 3 sessions first week, 2 second week (due to Endure) so going to try to be on it this week. Legs did not feel as much of a struggle.
