Sarum Foxbury orienteering Brown
Not a great area, not a great map. Lots of undergrowth, brashings & brambles to contend with. Map in places was blatantly wrong! Controls hung low and hidden.
First forest Orienteering event since the British Champs, aim was to be patient and in control. Tactics worked and didn't make any big mistakes (will check the splits), happy with how I ran. Happy with the result too, not that I was trying to think too much about it (5th I think, +5mins)

Running 45:09 [3] 9.51 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: Ravenna 6 2017

Morning run including Southampton parkrun (21:56).
Ran a bit late so quite quick to the start, then just ran the parkrun maybe a bit quicker than needed but felt alright enough. Strong on the hills!

Hills: 20 mins 6 long 3 short
Legs pretty achey from the mountains, especially the glutes. Started to flag in the second half of each rep so thought I'd do some shorter faster ones to finish.

Running warm up/down 13:51 [2] 2.42 km (5:43 / km)

Harter Fell and Green Crag
First with John then second Wainwright solo. Conditions on the top of Harter Fell weren't great. The scramble to the highest point was a bit slippery. Quick descent and we soon warmed up. Bit of a marshy slog over to Green Crag but glad to get it. 12 Wainwrights bagged this week. Fun descent and tired to rescue a sheep!

Cross Training 2:00:00 [1]

Climbing
Nominal time, was out for 7 hours and did my first multi pitch climbing. Wallabarrow crag seconding John. Good fun, difficult in boots so used my arms a bit too much.
5 PM

Running 42:20 [3] 5.91 km (7:10 / km) +100m 6:36 / km
shoes: Roclite 290 2017

Duddon valley explore
Some amazing trails and an incredibly mixed run (road, path, fell, field, woods etc). More technical in places than I expected. Good to get out and shake the legs out a bit.

Consiston Fells from High Moss: Dow Crag, Old Man, Brim Fell, Swirl How, Great Carr's & Grey Friar
Pretty windy on the tops! Actually got blown up hill to the Old Man. Almost ridiculously windy, almost getting tripped up when trying to run. A lot more runnable than yesterday! A great descent down to the reservoir. Testing conditions at times but good fun.
