9 AM

Running 51:12 [3] 10.16 km (5:02 / km)
shoes: Brooks 14

Baddesley Common, boardwalks and fields to Crampmoor
Lovely cold Sunday morning run, not too worried about pace, distance or speed. Running for fun and extended it a bit. Ground was pretty frozen, worried about it being slippery in places.

Running warm up/down 17:20 [2] 3.19 km (5:26 / km)
shoes: Brooks 14

Warm up jog cheering on the ladies.

Running race 36:12 [5] 10.01 km (3:37 / km)
shoes: Brooks PR3 2016

Hampshire X-Country League Popham - 45th
Still finding motivation a little hard to find. Had planned on a morning jog or some stretching, but ended up just having a long sleep and lie in instead. Cheering on the girls got me more in the right frame of mind.

Race started and felt okay, pushing on a little on the uphills and was passing a few people. The field spread out on the second lap. First time wearing my new spikes, they felt a bit weird (and thought I'd broken some again). Final lap was playing mind games, kept telling myself the guy in front was 50th and I wanted to beat him. Almost caught them on the sprint finish but more importantly didn't get overtaken.

Very happy with my position and relative performance. Quite near Tom Cully who usually is well clear. Strava thinks I set a 10km PB by 2mins which is mad. Had hoped I could run 36mins for 10k but didn't expect to do it in a xcountry race! Will go for an official PB in March 10km month. A lot of the guys near me in the results had run sub 35. Only 88 places better than last year's race. Also 5 mins down in the winner compared to 10 mins last year. One of the best races of the year (or ever).

7 AM

Cycling 23:00 [2] 8.0 km (2:53 / km)

Cycle in via Lee Lane. Bloody freezing. Had to stop half way to put on another pair of gloves. Still cold.
4 PM

Running 37:43 [3] 7.7 km (4:54 / km)
shoes: Brooks Vapor 2 2016

Up through Rownhams, past Sainsbury's and back
Loop from work trying to avoid the darkness. Hard to motivate myself for this (getting cold twice in an hour). Definitely is easier to run from work then cycle home, rather than cycle home then run. Just good to get it done.
5 PM

Cycling 23:00 [2] 8.0 km (2:53 / km)

Cycle back via Baddesley. Not as cold!

8 AM

Cycling 23:00 [2] 8.0 km (2:53 / km)

Cycle in via Lee Lane. Cold and no messing around (only tips of fingers and face cold).
6 PM

Running warm up/down 25:06 [2] 4.68 km (5:22 / km)
shoes: Brooks 14

7 PM

Running intervals 30:36 [5] 6.9 km (4:26 / km)
shoes: Brooks Racer ST5

Reps: 16*300m (100m) 55.1-58.3s
Took 8 to warm up! The first half 57-58s then second half a bit to more like 56s. Georgina was running well and pushing hard later in the session. Quite a few reps running head to head with her.

Running warm up/down 17:58 [2] 3.15 km (5:42 / km)
shoes: Brooks 14

Spent a couple of mins standing around and then so cold getting started again.

Yoga/Stretching/S&C 1:00:00 [1]

Always good. Bit of freestyle in the middle, variations of sun salutations. Should do that more myself. Good chat with Richard before and after.
