Quite a few vague features and bracken was high. Orienteeted okay for some of it but in general not that great. Good practise running for almost 2 hours!

Summer Series, Royal Victoria Country Park, Light Green, 2/51, +4:27

In a habit of starting these events late when it's hot. Fast course with pretty easy route choice. Map was a bit dodgey in places and lost a bit of time within the woods. Need to be more sensible when changing from easy to harder navigation.

Lucas Castle training with Tom, Chris and Tim.
First time the 4 of us have trained together. Good fun and a great evening to be out running in the forest. Bracken was pretty high in places. Did 5 loops of varying distance, planned in the rest between intervals.

MLS Summer Series, Norris Hill
Ate some food too late (funny stomach), felt pretty weak and tired when running. Orienteered well on the majority of controls, a couple of my bearings were terrible thougg! Fortunately relocated quicker than some times. Reattacked one control 2 or 3 times before finding the control. Need to have a better map/compass routine.

Winchester PPP triathlon cycle
Our start wave formed up while i was warming up and I got a terrible position on the side. Massively boxed in and had to overtake lots on the climb. Ended up in a group of 4 and we had a nice battle for most of the race. Managed to pull away on the last climb, scary descent before the finish.

Small break in transition before an OS mass start. Formed a small group with Mark and Keith, juat kept going despite calves hurting. Pretty boring out and back

Breathing was tight, ankle was okay, pretty good run. A few minor mistakes and hesitations, better orienteering than the last couple of times.

Updated: first Sumner Series win, had just wanted to run and navigate well
