Winchester water meadows
Nice place to run, found a few quieter areas with few dog walkers. On the way to visit my grandparents. Taking it pretty steady and just running. End of an easier week, not sure if the knee/quad have got any worse or better this week. Run a lot with people recently, so nice to have some time to myself and think/relax.

Southampton parkrun - 49th parkrun
Was aiming for a steady one, 26 ish minutes. Couldn't find anyone to start with, quite busy at the start. Started at about the right speed but accelerated a bit too much on the downhill. Saw Karla and ran the rest of the way with her, a bit faster than I would have liked though. It was good to catch up, share similar viewd on doing and training for things that you are good at and enjoy, rather than forcing it. Could feel my quad a bit immediately after.

Morning Forest trail run with Tim
Around Busketts lawn with map in hand, had a rough route planned taking in my favourite trail near the end. Otherwise just explored and ran where it looked nice. Pretty muddy in places! Breathing couldn't keep up with the pace at the start, not sure why that was. We weren't going super quick. Lovely morning to get out on and a good catch up. Goal for recovery and life is to do at least one really good trail run per week

Studland trail run with Nicole
The end of a great weekend away, starting from the main National Trust car park. Up through the heath past the Agglestone, onto the ridge line down to Old Harry then round and onto the beach. Slightly ambitious given my injury (long and hilly) but really enjoyed it. More like this please!

Upton House parkrun
48th parkrun, holiday tourism with Nicole and a season's best! Really nice course around the country park with some sea views. Plan was to get a little faster but found it hard to judge that increase in speed. Enjoyable running a bit faster and overtaking people, trying not to get too fast!

RVCP run in the sun
Pre RR10 volunteering, bit of a warm up with Nicole then some cruising round the park enjoying the hot weather. Spectated the start of the race then manage to cut across the course to see them twice. Had planned on running tomorrow but the weather was too nice and a change in plan was suggested. Couldn't work out if I was inspired or frustrated by being at the RR10 (I wouldn't have been allowed to run it anyway), would like to be back to full fitness and able to race again.

Brockenhurst parkrun with the OS gang
Started with the group then sped up a bit and ran the rest of the way with Shaun and baby Elise. Could still feel my quad a bit after yesterday. Original plan was to warm up and cool down plus go for a quicker one today. Re-evaluated the plan after yesterday's twinge. Nice to run with Shaun, not run with him in ages!

Deerleap trails
First run back in the New Forest, bit of a drizzly day but still enjoyed it. Had planned a rough loop taking in some nice trails, took them in but didn't do the exact loop planned. Felt good running, got a bit carried away early on before settling in. Really nice to be back out in the Forest running, the injury held up okay and it felt a bit like pre injury. Hoping for some more runs like that coming up. Back out to Be parkrun Saturday, and may try for a quicker one.

First time back post injury, a bit of jogging around, usual warm up routine then some easy hills (2/3 up middle hill). Think everything felt okay, plan now is to go down every week and do something even if that's just when I do my normal runs.

Easter Sunday trail run around Rame head with Nicole
Really fun along the coastal path, up the road then around the headland and down to Cawsand. Quite muddy in places, back to doing the running that I really enjoy. Could feel my quad and knee a little bit but it didn't hurt that much. Glad it wasn't much longer, probably the toughest and best run that I've done.
