H O T . And it’s only going to get hotter over the next two days. I might need to consider running early and sleeping after. Went along Shane Creek to Shane Ridge. Next time I’m going to drive to Shane Ridge and just start from there, since it’s a dirt road with less traffic. Good little out and back though, and reasonably close to camp.

Lava lake with Serafina. Easy, quick hike. There’s a trail that goes up table mountain from the lake, and I’m not sure if it keeps going, but I think it’d be fun to do a big day and follow the ridge line all the way around to some of the bigger peaks past the far end of the lake. Following the ridge line would be easy without a trail, but coming down through the forest back to the lake might be a little bit more treacherous.

Went outdoor bouldering for the first time and it was really awesome! We were at Neat Rock, in northern Beartrap Canyon along the Madison. Tagged along with Adia, her boyfriend, and his friends, and spent the better part of the day out there. I forgot sunscreen unfortunately, and I cooked myself out there.
