Poo poo point with Paige. It was cloudy in patches, but there was still a decent view. I got to see a paraglider take off! The last time I did this hike was almost 4 years ago!

Bridle Trails is often just a trail run in which you happen to be holding a map, and today was definitely that. Still very fun to get out on a map! I made the unfortunate mistake of not finding a bathroom before starting, so halfway through I needed to go find a tree. Since bridle trails is a trails-only venue, it thankfully wasn’t too hard to get away from everyone by stepping a ways off the trail. It made me think, though; I’m guessing that some people have had some interesting mid orienteering race bathroom break experiences before.

Slow slow snow! It’s been ages since I waxed my skis, and today was a reminder that it might be a good idea to do that every once in a while.

Crystal. Super low snowpack, and I’m pretty surprised as much of the mountain was open as it was with how little snow there was. Hit a number of rocks, and it’s not even a rocky area! The forecast is for a couple feet of snow this weekend, so fingers crossed that does happen because they need it.
