Orienteering 1:45:46 [3] 4.25 mi (24:53 / mi)
20c shoes: Innov-8 X-talon 212

Breakheart Reservation in Saugus. Did a corridor-o, compass exercise, and then o-tervals. Since I'm at Dylan's for the weekend, had him follow behind me, and then do the navigating from one interval to the next. It was really snowy/icy, and I stepped onto a huge sheet of ice and went down hard. Put my arm down to catch my fall, but it slipped too, and I really wrenched my shoulder hard. Took a bit of a break there to make sure everything was intact, and then kept going. It feels OK now, but I'll be careful with it for the next couple of days.

Took me a bit to get into it, obviously. Didn't realize how far I got off on the corridor...

Running tempo 34:45 [4] 2.26 mi (15:23 / mi)
shoes: Black Asics Gel-Excite 4

Warmup, 15 minute tempo, cool down. This was at Reggie Lewis, hence the watch distance being way off. I felt really good during the tempo, very strong, and I paced it well. Yay :)

Running 55:27 [3] 6.48 mi (8:33 / mi)

To Boston Common, two laps around, and back. We were taking it at a nice relaxed pace, which was good because this was one of the longest runs I've done in a while.

Nordic Skiing 46:48 [3] 6.43 mi (7:17 / mi)

Wowza not a good race but also only my third one. I didn't have time for a warmup, so just started off and told myself I'd take the first lap easy. Being in a race makes it hard for me to ease into it, so I was just thrashing the whole time. I fell once, and lost balance a lot. Eventually realized this wasn't getting me anywhere, so I backed off and found more of a rhythm. Felt smooth at the end.
Did a few laps with the Hall family afterwards :) they're all much better skiers than I am!

Running 20:50 [3] 2.45 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Black Asics Gel-Excite 4

If it wasn't so cold, running in a light snowfall would be nice.

Stretching 10:00 [1]

Anterior tibialis sore on both sides. Strange. Maybe it's the shoes I wore today?
