Shin felt great today and seeing as this week was so small gonna start training properly next week.

First black just practicing my long distance race technique. Felt really strong physically and my navigation was on point on the first open section of the course. Was trying to take as straight a route choice as possible because I wanted to test out my compass. Altogether a really good race in 10cm+ of snow cover all round the course, was leading till control 15 but 3 annoying mistakes meant I fell behind Adam Potter.

Fourth rest day of the week. Sledging all day and school work stoped me from running. Gonna be really fresh for tomorrow tho.

When sledging someone absolutely sent a skateboard deck into my shin, came off well with only some bruising.

Breaking in new X talons. The most enjoyable run I've done for ages. Ran up onto East Hill where the snow was pretty deep making the single track through the forest feel like running in Scandinavia. I also maintain the streak of never getting a blister in a pair of x talons, they always seem to fit me really well and break in pretty quickly.

Endless laps of the field plus some exploring to other fields. Was planning to do some kind of intervals but it was far to cold and muddy. Ended up doing a couple of efforts up some climbs.

Shin felt stiff at around 7km but then went back to normal.
