Running (TRAIL) warm up/down (WU/WD) 16:26 [2] 2.4 km (6:51 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 212

Orienteering (FOREST) race (JHIs Relay) 26:22 [5] 4.3 km (6:08 / km) +120m 5:23 / km
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 212

Went out strong leading to c1 then followed by a good battle for first with Louis up until c5 where everyone came past once i hit the swamp and went to the wrong fork (luckily Pete came past and lead me in). Spent the rest of the time trying to catch up the time i lost which was not helped by a fork which saw me and Pete have to go higher than the lead pack. Around c12-3 i went past Jim and Joe then as we entered the technical green i tried a kick to catch Pete however nothing could be done by this point and it was another 1,2,3 for Scotland. i came back 4th but luckily Ewan got our team into 3rd and Stan out sprinted Ali to hold onto the podium.

Running (TRAIL) warm up/down (WU/WD) 14:00 [2] 2.2 km (6:22 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 212

Orienteering (FOREST) race (JHI individual) 41:20 [5] 6.1 km (6:47 / km) +204m 5:48 / km
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 212

One of the more satisfying runs I've had in a long time. Started out pretty clean only major mistakes coming from some dodgy route choice. At c11 wasted time hesitating as i entered the control circle but no more than 30sec. overall please to beat some of the Scottish on there home terrain and only lost 3 mins on Gooch who described his run as one of his best.

Long rolling and stretching sesh working my way through a YouTube video right calf still tight (doesn't slow me down or hurt however it is uncomfortable and perpetually a threat of injury so being careful ATM)

Went out a bit hard for a recovery then rained it in in the later stages. Rolling hills on and off tarmac with one gentle climb up east hill. Planing to taper better this week for a stronger performance at JHIs.
