orienteering - General 52:00 [4] 10.2 km (5:06 / km)

The christian Michelsen sign I got with the letters mp reflects this jwoc pretty well.
I had an 18 minute split to the first control. I don't know what happened, I was ready to go, and I screwed it up. Maybe jan dropping those places at the end due to his heat issues forced me into a mindset to catch people.
It was a longer leg and I lost focus and well that was it.
I physically lost it around the half hour mark and then mentally as well.

running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 3.21 km (6:14 / km)

Note

To clarify the mispunch, I didnt punch the spectator passage. I spent 15s standing close by debating whether or not to punch it, but ultimately decided it wasn't necessary for some reason

orienteering - General warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.49 km (6:01 / km)

Easy jog before the race. C-final so safe to say it was a pretty laid-back pre race, walking around bare foot until about 25 minutes before I started.

orienteering - General race 25:04 [3] 4.34 km (5:47 / km)

Just took it at an easy pace since I'll be running hard enough tomorrow. Pretty clean technically other then a few small mistakes

running warm up/down 25:00 [1] 3.51 km (7:07 / km)

Warm-up was just running around the map, didn't do any exercises really. Since I didn't really enjoy the terrain, I didn't really prepare for the middle and was just going to take it as a fun race.

orienteering - General 40:34 [4] 6.63 km (6:07 / km)

Took the middle slower. Went well for the most part, I was never really running fast and had some hesitations and small 30s mistakes. Then going into 14 I knew that if I ran it clean, I'd be in the A-final since it was the last difficult control. I rushed it a bit and didn't get a good enough picture of the circle, so I didn't spot the control in the circle immediately. I panicked and decided to trace my steps to try and again and got lost in the process.

running 20:00 [1] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

easy run

core 1:00 [1]

Wanted to do core since I haven't in several weeks but figured dumb to do it so just stuck with a minute of bicycle core thing after running

running 15:00 [1] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)

Easy run to shake out the legs. I've been struggling with sleep so I'll aim to take a nap and load myself up on caffeine before the race
3 PM

running warm up/down 30:00 [1]

Only going log 30 since I took multiple breaks to the toilet
4 PM

orienteering - General 17:51 [5] 4.1 km (4:21 / km)

Shortest distance which I definitely didn't run as I took a couple questionable routes and I took a 1 minute detour to the wrong control. First reaction was that was a disaster, I might retire from orienteering. Went for my pissed off cool down, got back checked the scoreboard and saw Emma podiumed so I forgot about my race, but later decided 57th wasn't terrible for a crappy race.

running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 3.16 km (6:20 / km)

10 AM

orienteering - General 1:33:57 [4] 15.0 km (6:16 / km)

Pretty disappointing. Physically felt good, just made 15 minutes of mistakes. Looking at them, I don't think any were technical mistakes but mental. All the mistakes seemed to come from losing focus and track of where I was in the middle of the leg. Maybe I just don't have the attention span for long distances.
Also straightline distance since the start guy took my watch from me
