orienteering - General 2:00:00 [1]

Orienteering training set by Meghan. A bit sloppy at times but more then anything it was more just the blooming vegetation and with small rocks littering the ground and knee high undergrowth it was quite hard to run. Fun terrain if you took a weed wacker to it though. The main thing I got to work on for Finland is taking far quicker (and precise) compass bearings.

Ran the Sulphur springs relay course with Hadron. Stopped to check a trail map in the one area where the course has been changed, still managed to take the wrong trail, but my way was probably a bit longer so it's all good.

To and from Morgan Firestone. Took time out because I had to spend a fair amount of time stopping since my bike wasn't working too well.

Did the corridor exercise and then decided I go out and do the course as well. Terrain was subtle and map could be updated, but still was sloppy, I was never was lost just could have been in more control at times. Bearings weren't quick enough and I'll try to start looking at maps more regularity to pick out key features quicker.

ARX beeb test with varying distances to run for everyone through the forest. Just went until the last person had stopped. Then some strength excercise and control to visit based off the choosing of the winner of rock, paper, scissors

To and from princess point

running intervals 28:33 [4] 6.23 km (4:35 / km)

Did 6 of the princess point figure 8s, about a 1km interval. Would start a new one every five minutes, times were around 3:15, but last few dropped around 3:25. Not too bad considering probably my first complete interval workout in half a year.
