The long map for the Finnish team trials, made two good size mistakes, the first time doing the wrong leg due to repeating controls (making a mistake but quickly recovered while on this leg) and then afterwards going through a thicker section drifted to the right to the wrong hill losing a few minutes. Most of my legs went well in the middle section until the control circle where I'd lose time

Final Relay training. Beginning went terrible when I couldn't find the start and got pulled to the wrong control with the pack. Adding to the frustration my attempts at taking short cuts through the green to pass people on the trail kept failing and this all culminated in me rushing my next control and making a half an hour mistake. Ended up relocating at the start so just restarted the course and other then a 4 minute mistake was just generally a bit sloppy losing time on each leg. Main struggle was a lack of drive to race after you make a mistake the length of the entire course

X-league (score-o) with dog bones, twice I forgot to get the final segment of the dog bone and kept running to the next ones, so had to go back, get control, and rerun. Other then that I just tried to treat urban orienteering like a forest race and actually pick out key features I can use.

16 courses around the driving park between 200 - 500m. Suppose to be a relay but I just ran one and took a minute rest before the next. Just focused flowing through the control and picking my exits.

Originally meant to do 6 of the loops from the field at mcmaster where you go down the trail and run around the perimeter of the field (had a 1.25 - 1.5 minutes rest) ...but was feeling pretty terrible so skipped the last one and did an interval on ravine road from the bridge to gate.

Made two major mistakes today, both were from running on trails. The trails on the map weren't obvious and paired with less focus on the trails I'd miss a few turns, and the high water didn't help relocating making marshes out of lower points. In general once I lost contact instead of stopping to quickly relocate I would push on and get lost. The first time I caught Robbie and made the mistake of letting him influence my route choice. Other then that went fairly well, as I was thumbing along, knew where I was and at times I knew what features I was looking for but a sloppiness to it and hesitated too much.

Ran out after Robbie and Alex to do a 3rd leg even though my team had finished. Had the two shorter forkings earlier, but for a few controls didn't have a good plan leaving the control and just running very impulsively and sloppy

Friday training on the barrens. Took a bit to get focused, making a mistake on 1 and getting lost and having to relocate on 2, a longer leg. In the corridor, I need to look up far more picking out features in the terrain and also good area to work on thumbing along.
