10 AM

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3] 7.61 km (11:50 / km) +150m 10:46 / km

Training in Bishop Woods
I started with the contours course I found this quite difficult as I ended up being too far up the hill.
I also did a catching feature exercise I found this quite easy apart from accidentally going to number 11 then then 9,8,7 (I was aiming to go around the right way)
12 PM

Orienteering 16:45 [3] 1.8 km (9:18 / km)

Did a trains course in the green section of the map with YHOA.

Orienteering 1:35:00 [3] 6.96 km (13:39 / km) +250m 11:34 / km

Dale Park, Graythwaite
A few exercises nice to be back in the green stuff and actually being able to understand it and seeing where I went wrong at the Jircs.
1 PM

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3] 6.39 km (14:05 / km) +200m 12:11 / km

Holme Fell
Control pick - I found this useful even though I kept mucking up so ended up turning it into a relocation exercise.
I also did the simplification course which I used for compass bearings from which I ended up overshooting most of the controls and ending up completely missing them even though I was either walking or very slowly jogging.
5 PM

Orienteering (night relay ) 20:06 [3] 2.1 km (9:34 / km) +25m 9:02 / km

Night relay around Hawkshead Youth Hostel first control I was doing ok then heading tot the second I got attacked by a lot of the people all trying to punch one control. Heading to number 3 my head torch went out I was able to turn it back on just after reaching the control and starting to head to my next control before it turned off again this seemed to happen for the rest of the course which Is why the very slow time.
HOWEVER I JUST WANT TO PROUDLY SAY I DIDNT MISS PUNCH AFTER ALL OF THAT

(however the rest of my team did)

Orienteering race 1:02:20 [3] 7.97 km (7:49 / km) +215m 6:53 / km

Bok event at Moseley green
Blue 6.3km 215m
Didn't do very well kept mucking up and also didn't realise that my new compass was broken until after I had finished so no suprise I was running the complete opposite directions.

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km)

Training with Cecilie

Saturday Nov 22, 2014 #

Running (Parkrun) 21:38 [3] 5.0 km (4:20 / km)

Little Stoke parkrun
It was very wet and slippy and on the second lap this boy kept overtaking me then slowing down in front of me so I kept running into him I finally got past him for the third lap though.

Running 21:23 [3] 3.91 km (5:28 / km) +100m 4:51 / km

7x100m reps

Running warm up/down 17:00 [3] 3.0 km (5:40 / km)

Orienteering race 30:21 [3] 5.24 km (5:48 / km) +105m 5:16 / km

British schools
G12 4km 105m
Easy course but I really stupidly made a mistake to #11 on a path junction I don't really know what I was doing and now it's annoying how looking at winsplits I was 2nd until that control.
Ended up finishing in 4th behind Cecilie,Pippa and Jenny.

Swimming 30:00 [0]

Orienteering 28:52 [3] 4.9 km (5:53 / km) +100m 5:21 / km

World schools selection race
W16 3.9km 100m
Had an ok run
Mucked up #2 as my map was not orientated properly I only lost a couple of seconds but it threw me off for the next control.
I overshot #3 and I became hesitant when approaching it.
When approaching #6 I accidentally aimed for another control which was 50m off my control.
From 6-7 I fell over and my compass snapped in half.
This threw me for number 8 which I overshot.
The rest of the course went ok.
I ended up in 3rd behind Cecilie and pippa from which I don't know if it was good enough to get selected.

Orienteering 1:04:32 [3] 9.56 km (6:45 / km) +110m 6:23 / km

HOC event at Castlemorton Common
Blue course 7.3km 110m
Pretty straight forward event I chose to use the terrain as much as possible for terrain practise which I found useful had a good run up until #21 where I confused myself thinking I went through the wrong ditch lost about 7 minutes other then that the rest of the course was good ended up finishing 4th :)

Saturday Nov 8, 2014 #

Orienteering race 45:13 [3] 7.06 km (6:24 / km) +220m 5:32 / km

SN Trophy Mytchett
Short Blue - 6.0km 220m of climb
Pretty clean run and the area was very runnable however I felt slow whilst running and took some really stupid route choices.

Orienteering race (Night Score ) 57:09 [3] 8.46 km (6:45 / km) +300m 5:44 / km

Western night league event at Stoke park

Running 52:13 [3] 10.43 km (5:00 / km) +300m 4:23 / km

I wanted to go for a long run because I hadn't been for a run all week.
I wasn't going particularly fast because it was so dark. I had a stich for the first 3km then after that felt my foot rubbing and now have a massive blister on the back of my foot. And felt really dizzy and sick once I had finished quite a good run I think ;)
