Basketball 45:00 [3]
ballin. first halifax team practice! only 7 of us there, & the under 15s as well. learned our defense + the begining of our offense. only one suicide, but felt super tired during scrimmage. on sundays/monday night we'll be scrimmaging with the varsity girls which should be really good. started with normal warmup, some passing drills, 5ball, partner free throw (cathy found that i tilt to the right and only take my left foot off the ground, working on that), run, sprint to stance with just defense, then went live with elow, support and drift positions. finally some scrimmage.

because allie isnt playing, i will be post meaning i get to guard cooper which im very happy about because shes a really good post and i can improve from guarding her.

Thursday May 15

Bike 30:00 [1]
in + out of shuniah from the centennial parking lot. real easy.
Bike race (shuniah) 10:00 [5]2 km (5:00 / km)
iloove single track :-) clips were a bit too loose so they popped out a few times. made it up the second steepish hill, was happy for that.
Swimming 30:00 [3]
at the complex with the thunderbolts coach. started off with 500 m freestyle, to see what we could do. then we did a bunch of drills teaching us to swim tall/long, he made us swim to the other end without breaths + no arms. couldnt do it. did that a bunch of times and more drills. learned a lot.
Note
have been doing core or yoga or pilates in gym all week.
the yoga felt really nice. me + taka are planning to go this summer.
pilates can get difficult, and the core was actually intense.

Wednesday May 14

Bike 1:05:00 [3]16 km (4:04 / km)
to cent, 2k loop, back home. really nice out. not as much mud as i thought there was gonnabe, nice to go in single track:)
Basketball 40:00 [3]
springleague:) vs. nip rock. originally only had 5 players, but thankfully 2 grade nines came. was a really slow start, passing sloppy, shot off. then there was a triple shift for me, taka on first and last ones, and me being pg in the middle, and we got things going. a ton of easy passes to the inside. tons of layups, one outside shot by me. twas good. played more than normal. halifax practice(tryout?) on friday.

Tuesday May 13

Bike 20:00 [1]6 km (3:20 / km)
biked to centennial
Bike race 15:00 [5]5 km (3:00 / km)
highschool race #1, ok start, got caught up on hydro a bit, but after we hit mud was well ahead, kt started her second lap only ~20 secs ahead of me. not bad.
Run 20:00 [1]
random warmup stuff with bb
Run race 3:00 [5]0.8 km (3:45 / km)
hooray for bike race and track. at least i now know what an 800 will feel like.
