Just another day on the bike, except the levee trail from Chain of Rocks to Alton was the windiest location in the bi-state area. I think about 30 mph, plus gusts. Rick was amused by my posture, which was quite a few degrees off of vertical, and once I got blown off the trail and down a grassy slope. On the way back, coasted quite a way on level ground at 16 mph. Very exciting experience!
Tried out my sister's road bike. Guess I will have to get one. Poked around to find a way to the Y besides the driving route of straight south on Brentwood for 3 miles. Got stuck at Galleria, but did find a number of cool pedestrian/cycling passageways.
To tai chi, Forest Park, Kayak's. Got invited to go on a bike trip from San Diego to Albuquerque, but sadly, not ready for 16 days of 60 miles. Then got invited to ride to Pere Marquette, so maybe.
Grant's Trail. 9 miles downhill were fine; 9 back up were harder. Third ride of the year. In 2011, didn't get the bike out of the garage until April 2nd.
