Pretty terrible conditions again as the track-setter was broken until the end of the adventure. I still had fun!

Fun night @ Cypress with Erica and Knut! A quick jaunt around, stop in at the lodge for a beer and fries, and then a few more laps around. Erica was out on skate skies for the first time and the snow conditions required almost as much effort on the downhill as on the up haha but really great company, banter, and laughter :D

Note

Happy Birthday Me!

This birthday is especially happy as I know that this coming semester I will be teaching full-time!! English 9x2, Drama 8, and English 10. I celebrated by playing DnD with the usual crew, Brendan, my sis Hillary, and her bf Adam. Mmmm whipped cream :D

2017 was a big year I remembered how to be fully me, went down to San Antonio with my family, made new friends and grew closer to old friends, I started downhill skiing and am loving it, ran my first trail race with a really good friend, travelled to ICELAND with an awesome tough woman, got further ahead on my diploma in Outdoor Environmental Education, landed a half-time job in an awesome school and was overcome by the generous nature of my students plus the collaborative work environment, OH and my sister and a friend introduced me to the fun of DnD! As well, I moved out to East Van into a home with two epic and strong professional women, I started and finished working on East End Stories for the Jewish Historical Society in Vancouver (will post link when it is published!), and throughout it I have been the President of GVOC an awesome orienteering club part of a great o-community. Pwef :P

Thank you to all and I hope we all keep learning and trying new things!

PS. 1 year down only 3 more to go... or less if we are lucky!
