1-4 went well felt pretty good. 5 is a a fricking nightmare I tried to take it carefully going right along the path and then through the cleaning and up onto the spur etc missed and ended up on the far trail. Okay no big deal that sucks but I'll relocate and go in from the trail... cue doing that several more times... okay finally find 5 after being stung by wasps and navigate distractedly through 6-7-8-9. Now where the heck is 10?!? it's so damn close to where I easily found 4 I could cry. Close to the cut off time and not having any fun I go to bail out.. I then proceed to really fail at bailing out but eventually make it to the trail running northwest and pick up 13-14 on my walk back in to the finish. The arena is all packed up - Blast well these things happen I guess.
At control 4 I was at - 13:32 At control 5 I was at - 1:24:34 ( > < ) At control 9 I was at - 1:55:22 Bailing from 9 to 13 took - 43 minutes (ouch lots of pointless walking and arguably the most genuinely lost I have ever been when orienteering)
Climbed Top Gun 5.8 at the back of Lake Louise! Plus half of a trad climb that the boys had set up. Great fun with Andrew, Graeme, Nate, Ian, and Ben as photographer :D

Lake Louise Plain of 6 Glaciers with Ben, Emily, & Oscar! We were joined at the Tea House by Graeme, Nate, Ian, and Erica. Graeme continued on with us to see the actual glaciers :D
Maligne Lake - post dropping Ian and Nate for the start of their run. Beautiful and uncrowded walk along the lakeshore and then back through the woods. The parking lot went from 5 cars to full and overflowing in the hour we were out!

Edith Cavell - caught up to Graeme and Erica as they were coming off the gorgeous summit which had 360 degree views. So I scooted up to take a look myself - Simply breathtaking!
