(rest day)

Unplanned rest day, but my body feels beat up for some reason...

Running (Road) 58:48 [2] 7.69 mi (7:39 / mi) +100m 7:21 / mi
ahr:146 max:170 shoes: Brooks Glycerin 4

Freezing and fogging - Pig training group run from Lunken. Kept a pretty steady pace for the most part while still managing to chat with various folks. The run up Delta (~1.7mi uphill) wasn't too bad, but on the way back down, the fog got real thick along Eastern.

Running warm up/down (Road) 12:01 [1] 1.09 mi (11:02 / mi)
ahr:120 max:136 shoes: Brooks Glycerin 4

After finishing with the front pack, I went back out to check on the others. This is the run/walk portion I did with Michael back to the Terminal. Worked well as a cool down for me.

Rowing (Ergometer) 20:00 [3]

After brunch, went to the gym for some more exercises. Tried the rowing machine once more. Still can't get the display to start recording my distance/speed/etc. so I just did it on time by my watch. 20min was all I could handle (avg ~22-25spm). Not sure how Hillary, J-man, et al. can stay on it for 90min! Incredible.

Cycling (Stationary) 1:00:00 [2] 19.82 mi (19.8 mph)

Level 10, Random, 542c?
While watching some college bb on tv. I need to start remembering to bring some maps with me.

Stretching warm up/down 15:00 [0]

During various times of the day. Probably totaled more than this.

Soccer (Indoor) 27:00 [3]
shoes: Adidas Absolion TRX FG David B

A rare Saturday night game, which is never much fun. I was pretty low in energy, as was the rest of my team. Still, we had plenty of chances to score. Just that they were squandered, saved, or deflected. We lost 1-2.

Cycling (Stationary) 30:00 [2] 10.08 mi (20.2 mph)
weight:57.5kg

Level 10, Hills, 278c. As warm up for strength session.

Strength (Weights) 33:00 [3]

Same as last Thursday, except I ran out of time for hamstrings and calves.

Strength 12:00 [2]

Ankles and core.

Stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]

X-Training (Elliptical) 1:05:00 [2] 8.24 mi (7:53 / mi)
weight:57.9kg

Cross-Country, 816c.
While watching the UL vs. WVU game.

Stretching warm up/down 5:00 [0]

Went to the injury clinic at the Spot to get my foot checked out. The podiatrist said that the pain I'm experiencing is due to Posterior Tibial Tendonitis. She recommended icing, aleve, and buying a pair of insoles with better arch support. The cause for the pain may be due to over-pronation of the L-foot. Perhaps my gait has changed recently? Or maybe I need new shoes...

Running (Mixed Road/Grass) 47:53 [2] 6.17 mi (7:46 / mi) +75m 7:29 / mi
ahr:148 max:173 shoes: Brooks Glycerin 4

Upper 40s, cloudy - Pig training group run from Crossroads. The workout was 1mi easy, 3mi tempo, 1mi cool down. Since I was moving amongst the front half, it was more of a fartlek type run for me. Feeling a bit better today.

Stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]

Before and after.

Strength 30:00 [2]

Various exercises for the core, some one-legged squats, plus shoulder works with weights.

Running (Mixed Road/Grass) 51:53 [3] 6.67 mi (7:47 / mi) +121m 7:22 / mi
ahr:145 max:184 shoes: Pearl iZumi Float

Upper 60s, windy, threat of t-storm - Run from the Spot with JFT, in shorts and shortsleeves again. Either my legs are still tired from the weekend, or I'm really that out of shape, because it took some real effort to run ~6:45, and I still couldn't keep up with Craig. I think I will just focus on base building this next month as much as I can.

Stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]

L-foot isn't totally healed yet. May check with the podiatrist again at the injury clinic.

Strength 15:00 [2]

Ankles, plus some planks and push-ups.
