slept:6.0 weight:147lbs

Dial/Self Teen fundraiser ride with Hillary and Peter. First part nice and shady, but coming back past Northfield Mt. (famous O venue) we were in the sun. Peter stopped at 39 miles but Hill and I were determined to do the full 50. The bike gods conspired against us, again, (last year I stopped at 88 of the 100 miler). Hill flatted at 45 miles, and I missed seeing the nail in the tire until we had used up our last good tube and patches (4 tries). Still not ready to quit, I rode back to the finish to get Jude's bike for Hill to finish on, BUT then the skies opened up, Hill got soaked and several trees fell over, along with some spetacular lightning strikes.
We'll try again next year.
