Skiing warm up/down (skate) 1:00:00 [1]

Skiing (skate) 45:00 [5] 15.0 km (3:00 / km)

Wasn't looking forward to this race. Long mass start skate on narrow trails, and I havent enjoyed or done well in a skate race in the past 4 years. Felt really tired during warm up.

However I felt amazing and my skis were soo fast! Got in a good group and held on the whole way. Felt super strong on the uphills and finished with a sprint with 5 other guys. Ended up 18th (top guy in group came 15th, 1s ahead of me), super happy with my result and race. Best skate race in a loooooooong time, and I feel that with these new skis (old skis are super slow I think :S) I was using I can do much better than what I have been doing.

So much to say about this race which I cant really summarize here, however the most important thing for the weekend is: WE WON THE OVERALL OUA TITLE!!!!

Skiing warm up/down (classic) 1:00:00 [1]

Skiing (classic) 31:30 [5] 10.0 km (3:09 / km)

Really bad race. Worst classic race this year. Felt like shit, don't know why. Finished 15th, so not horrible result (Top 8 carleton guys in top 15) but I know I could have done much better.

Skiing (classic) 15:00 [5] 5.0 km (3:00 / km)

Didn't make either of the relay teams based on the morning result. Joined an unofficial team though with Lee and a Guelph guy and we did really well. Finished right behind the Carleton 2 team and ahead of the Guelph 2 team which Jordan failed to make. The relay was really fun, first time I've done it albeit on an unofficial team, and it cheered me up after the dissapointing morning result.

Skiing (classic) 1:00:00 [2]

Testing out the course at Monora Park in Orangeville, same place as where the COC sprint was in 2006. The course suits me pretty well I think. A fair bit of double poling, but also some good steep climbs.

Running 45:00 [1]
shoes: Asics GT 2140 (September 09)

Supposed to be a rest day with OUAs this weekend, but decided to go for a short easy run. Watching so much Olympics makes you feel guilty for not getting outside.
