Was completely exhausted after the long. By 9pm I was feeling really sick and not sure that I would be able to run in the morning. Tossed and turned all night but woke up in the morning not feeling too bad.

Jogging to the start I could feel that I was pretty slow, but I assumed everyone was in a similar state. Glad that it was going to be a short technical course.

Bobbled the first three controls, was quite shaky. Ran hard to 5 and nailed the control and caught up to Wil. A bit too excited to 6, and didn't plan things out well enough. Went in too early and ended up too high, but was bailed out by others. Hesitations in the circle at 7 and 9. Good leg to 10, spiked the control but Wil got ahead right after when I got stuck in the thorny vines. 11,12,13 were super fast, running behind Wil and catching Magnus. No chance to pass Wil into the finish.

Happy with the race and result. Some things to improve on though.

Overall a great weekend to cap off a great week. 3 good races.

Lots of small dumb mistakes today, but nothing major. Really tough physically and was dying for water throughout. Happy with result, but things should have been better.

Note: Won the finish split! Who'd have guessed... :P

Not very smooth today. Tough to get through places of the map that were really thick. Lost 1min to 5 not finding the trail and then bobbling the control. Bobbled lots of others as well.

On the long leg to 20, running along the streets, I heard a guy yell at me from his roof saying: "Hey can you help me?... I'm stuck on my roof!". I yelled back to say "Sorry I'm in a race", and kept running. Around 30m past his house though I felt really bad so I decided to turn back. It turned out his ladder had fallen, so I picked it up, and placed it safely for the guy. He thanked me and I ran off again. Good deed done for the day. :P

Needed to get a session in before work. Plan was 2x1km, 2km, 2x1km. Got through the first two but was feeling really tired. Heart-rate wasn't dropping fully. Tried for the 2km but I completely faded. Called it quits after that. It turns out that trying to do a hard session like this before breakfast is not a good idea. Live and learn...

Fantastic training set by Andrew at NRC. 5 mass start o-tervals with Eric, Jeff, Alex B, and Alex T. Some of the controls were 'micro-forked', so had to make sure to be reading decriptions.

Another solid race.

Taped the ankle up well so it wasn't much of an issue, maybe a bit cautious on the rocky downhills. Otherwise it just felt like I was conserving too much energy, and not pushing enough.

Took a bad side-hill route to 2 and lost 1.5min. Other than some small hooks my only other mistake was navigating to 14 rather than 12. Lost around 3min going all the way around the hill south-west of 12. Happy that I had the fastest splits on the tough legs to 18 and 21.
