Running 2:30:00 [2]

I was running well during the intervals, i also had my poles to help me this week. After the second loop though i got some bad cramps so i just decided to stop at the end of my third loop. I only would of had another half loop after that so it wasnt a big deal.

Orienteering race 56:00 [5] 6.8 km (8:14 / km)
shoes: Jalas black

Was running with Margus for most of the first loop at a good fast pace, then i lost 15s on one control and he got a bit ahead of me and just out of sight. I was focused on catching back up to him and made a 5min mistake on that leg. I knew i wasn't too far off my line, but it was hard to relocate because i was distracted by tons of other runners. My second loop was good and clean, and i saw Eric going into the second map exchange so i knew i had a chance to beat him. I was hoping to do a clean third leg and limit my mistakes to ~5min, but near the end i lost a minute on a control i had visited twice already and then another 2 mins on the next two controls. So not a very clean race. Ended up third behind Margus and Emily.

Roller skiing 2:00:00 [2]

First half of practice wa horrible, my technique was shitty and i couldnt pole well. I also felt really lathargic. Second half was better. Had some good drafting races down the 2k long hills.

Roller skiing 2:00:00 [1]

went legs only the whole time because of my wrist. It got really tiring by the end from not having the poles.

Note

Fell off my bike riding back from school yesterday. Had/have some fairly big and deep cuts from where my thigh sliced through my front gear sprocket, and a sore wrist. My neighbour who is a family doctor said i would probably need stitches and that i might have broken the bone( forget what it's called exactly) in my snuffbox area. He said that you have to be carefull with that bone and that it's sometimes hard to tell if it's broken. So after waiting for about 4 hour in the hospital my x-ray came back and they could tell that i luckily didn't break the bone. As for my leg the doctor said she could stitch it up but i would have a way cooler scar if i left it as is!!:)

Running 2:45:00 [2]

Running 15:21 [3] 3.25 km (4:43 / km) +175m 3:43 / km
ahr:183 max:189

Evaluation circuit at Mooneys bay. Consists of 6 laps of the circuit up and around the hill. Each lap is about 650m in length, and probably 35m in climb. There are 3 main hills which you have to ski stride up but on the flats and the downhills you can run. My coach stopped me after 5 laps cause he knew that im somewhat sick. Here are my lap times:

1 2:44 174av heart rate
2 3:00 184
3 3:18 183
4 3:11 183
5 3:07 186

~30s back from my best time last year, but i still have the rest of the fall to improve.

Orienteering 57:00 [5] 6.5 km (8:46 / km)
shoes: Jalas black

Not a great race. Here are some negatives/positives:

NEGATIVES:

1. I messed up #1(which was in the wrong spot), #4, #5, #7, #11, #12. But only by a maximum of less than 5 minutes in total.

2. I went over on my ankle going to #2 after stepping in a hole. Luckily i was able to run it off.

3. I had cramps and was running slowly on the trail runs.

4. I was coughing up stuff most of the way.

POSITIVES:

1. I WON!!

2. I beat Margus (although he messed up more than me)!

3. I had good flow and I didn't make too many mistakes.

4. I luckily managed to get the bingo/control that was in the wrong spot alright.

5. My routes were all good.

Innebandy 2:00:00 [0]

couldn't stand doing nothing today, so i went out and played tennis. I figure i might as well wait until i feel completely better to start training again. Otherwise it's not doing my body any good. I don't think i can not go orienteering tommorow though.:)

Note
(rest day)

Thankfully it's a rest day. I feel somewhat sick and this caugh is bugging me. We'll see about training tommorow...

Running 2:20:00 [2]

Felt pretty sluggish. During the intervals i couldn't stop coughing. I've had the same cough and phlegmyness for about two weeks now. I don't know if i should keep training like this or stop for a bit to recover.

Running 1:45:00 [1]

Around the cottage trails with Nic. Went along one trail until the trail stopped, then came back. Went to go run along another trail but the road was flooded so we had to take our shoes off and wade to the other side.
