Ate a good lunch, but nothing afterwards. It got quite cold later in the day, and by the time I got to the clubhouse I was really cold and hungry. Felt really low on energy warming up, and thought that maybe it was too soon to race after Sunday's 10k. Decided to just see how things went.
It turns out it wasn't an issue once the adrenaline started flowing a bit. First km was quite relaxed, but nobody around me was taking any initiative. Decided to go to the front and pick up the pace a bit. I was feeling pretty good and felt like a pb was perhaps possible, and since I don't like sitting in the front of a group I thought it was better to string things out a bit and pretend I was on my own.
Led the guys until 5k when Junis and Hedis thankfully took the lead along Delsjön. Felt quite alright and hung in there but was nervous for the last 2k. Convinced myself to attack up the 6k hill but Junis stuck with me and, as expected, passed me down the other side. Kept close but just couldn't match his speed downhill.
Remembered to look at my watch in the end and finally finished officially under 27. New PB! Second one in two days. :)
