Jukola Training chasing start
Ran pretty well to the forked first control, but then went a bit off-line to 2. Was surprised to see Mikael and Martin so close behind to 2, but it turns out they were going to their longer forks to 1, which were actually bit shorter. Strand caught me going into 2 and I couldn't stay with after 3. Got really tired and hot to 4 and a bit bummed thinking everyone had got ahead of me somehow. After sighting the flag at 5 while heading down the hill to it I tripped and flew a few metres, smashing my right thigh on a stump. Layed on the ground for a minute or two before getting up and walking to 6. Mikael and Martin ran by a minute later, damn wasn't doing so bad after all! Need to be better at staying positive while running, and not getting all rushed and impatient which maybe led to the fall. Anyways, went to 6 just because it was on the way, because it was pretty clear that I wouldn't be running the pain off. Took me a good 40min to hobble back to the car.
Looks like I gots the 'dead leg'. There goes another 3 or 4 days... :( At least the knee felt ok!
