Orienteering 3:53:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT 2120 T (nov 08)

Felt very strong physically for most of it. Legs started to cramp on the long road/trail run 3/4 of the way, but they didnt slow me down as much as they did the last 2 years. Took a caffeine gel at the 3/4 running section, which didn't help the legs any, but it made me very loopy and good spirited.

We made lots of mistakes in the race, more than last year and the year before. 10mins worth at least.
-#6 distracted by Igor and Mike cutting off trail too early.(1min)
-#7 Got to the top of the first points climb in 3rd after nailing the matrix and passing 4 teams ,but continued up the next set of stairs for about a minute before realizing we had to go back down. Was very hard to read the map in this section. We lost a lot of our precious lead over the other co-ed team(2min).
-#7-8 To the second points climb. Got super confused by the instructions/map. The other co-ed team went straight across the bridge (the right way), I thought they were making a mistake and led the team down the first set of stairs. (3min)
-#8 Went down too low to the bottom clearing en route, plus bobble at ctrl. Lost lead over Mike/Igor. (1min)
-#10 Behind Igor, thinking we were heading into the control wrong but followed anyways. Recovered quickly but still time lost. (30s)
-#14 Had to go up far side, and around cliff to ctrl (1min)
-#15 Found 15a before 15, my fault very stupid. (5min)

Very fun race. Great course and beautiful day!
