spiked:16/17c shoes: Asics Kayano 22 (Black)

Pretty easy nav course. Got caught out trying to go through dark green then back-tracked out and went the long way around (30 secs).

Run race (Mt.Mee Trail Marathon) 3:56:52 [5] 43.21 km (5:29 / km) +1380m 4:44 / km
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 3.5

Faster start than I usually would go, but was trying to hang on to the leader against what I have been doing the past 5 marathons or so and just running my own race. Was feeling good so went through with it and hit the first 10km on mostly dirt roads in 46 min. The next 10km got steep onto 4WD tracks going through the next 10km in 50 min and the half marathon in 1.45. After 25km the course went into undulating single trails which slowed the running up but I was a little over-cooked at the previous pace so backed off letting the leader get away. Then at about 30km I surprisingly passed him going up a big climb which picked me up and was able to pick up the pace again through the more technical last 10 km single trails. Ended up winning by 8 minutes and collected a sweet pair of runners for the effort.
