Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 5) 7:25 [5] *** 1.64 km (4:31 / km) +4m 4:28 / km
spiked:23/25c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Leg #2

Started by mispunching 1 then was having an ok run till I really ballsed up 15. Ran to where I thought it was then started looking for 16 but then realised I had the wrong 15. Lost over a minute correcting this so race well and truly stuffed. Ended up 21st for the leg, 2.02 behind Aidan Dawson.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 5) 6:14 [5] *** 1.46 km (4:16 / km) +11m 4:07 / km
spiked:19/20c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Leg #3.

Had a pretty clean run. Maybe a few secs here and there. Finished in 9th, 40 secs behind Gernot Kerschbaumer.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 5) 6:04 [5] *** 1.42 km (4:16 / km) +3m 4:14 / km
spiked:20/21c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Leg #1

Another clean run except I punched the wrong last control. Finished in 10th, 47 secs behind Josh Blatchford.

Finished 13th overall for the day which was very disappointing. And 5th overall for the 5-Days.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 4) 42:30 [5] *** 6.86 km (6:12 / km) +146m 5:36 / km
spiked:16/24c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Really struggled today. Felt tired from the previous 3 days racing plus adding 2 x BF Sprints and SSS for the week was all adding up. Plus it was really hot and draining. Lost 10-30 secs on several controls so should have been heaps quicker. Still finished 6th so guessing many others had similar issues.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 3) 41:09 [5] *** 9.01 km (4:34 / km) +95m 4:20 / km
spiked:28/30c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Felt tired from early on so worked hard throughout the course. Started through 9-6-27-24-14-5 then probably not the best route to 29 then 3-12-26-13-1 and out into the streets 30-19-10-4-2-20 and stuffed around looking for the marked underpass which didn't seem to exist to 22 and the long flat sections around the wharves through 25-18-28-8-16-21-17-23-15-11-7. Finished 3rd behind SteveR-40.03 and Henrik-40.16 and just ahead of Macey-41.23 who stuffed no.7 and Ondrej-41.30.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 2) 15:13 [5] *** 2.75 km (5:32 / km) +2m 5:31 / km
27c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Not the best run. So many little errors and then lost 40 secs on the long leg no.23. Couldn't figure out how to get down and didn't really have a plan when I started the leg. Finished well down in 17th. Great area and course though.

Orienteering race (Xmas 5-Days - Day 1) 24:00 [5] *** 5.46 km (4:24 / km) +57m 4:11 / km
spiked:25/27c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Pretty good run. Lost only maybe 30 secs. A few secs figuring out how to get from 4-5 around the fort and then stuffed 13 by going through the bush towards 18 as the lines on the map crossed. Finished 1.30 behind Shep, 1 min behind Lachy Dow and a few secs behind a bunch of Euros for 6th. Happy with the result.
