Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series #26) 49:54 [5] *** 9.88 km (5:03 / km) +210m 4:34 / km
spiked:28/29c shoes: Asics Kayano 22

Amazing how much better you feel after a taper (or forced rest). 90% of SS I have been running tired off the back of solid training. Actually thought I was taking it easy with Solitary in mind in 3 days time. Didn't really lose any time navigationally but was very cautious on bad ankle in the wet and also considering tape had come loose halfway round. Local knowledge definitely helped and also some daylight unlike others. Surprinsgly ahead by 20.

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series #25) 46:54 [5] *** 10.39 km (4:31 / km) +151m 4:12 / km
spiked:19/25c shoes: Asics Kayano 22

Lost a lot of time on the course. Some my fault, some mapping and control placement. Below is a long list which doesn't include probably another minute in road crossings, but pretty hard to avoid a time loss on road crossings today.

#1 (15 secs) - looking in creek where centre of circle was but was a few metres away
#17 (30 secs) - looking on wrong side of the road
#29 (15 secs) - confused in the alleyways, paths not too obvious
#18 (45 secs) - tunnel ended on map but I was stuck in unmapped bus depot and had to take the escalator out
#27 (60 secs) - supposed to be on track junction but was about 10m off
#6 (45 secs) - tunnel closed and to go long way around
#6 (20 secs) - followed unmapped path into residential apartment block

Got 520, Ondrej-550, Steve-530, Glenn-520.

Still feeling a bit tired from a big last week. Not the best route choice either. Ended up running further than Steve's course plus I missed an out-and-back 800m control. Got 580, Steve-43, Glenn-590, Ondrej/Keelan-580.

Another good quality school map with buildings, stair, hills and bush. Legs feeling heavy from past few days, especially on any climb. Didn't really lose any time except #22 where I ended up on the wrong level.

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series #23) 47:04 [5] *** 9.09 km (5:11 / km) +189m 4:41 / km
spiked:26/26c shoes: Asics Kayano 22

Mostly bush course which we were forced around a long loop around wet trails. It was pretty hard to distinguish the difference between tracks and rock detail on the map. Stupidly went for #4 thinking I had time and not allowing for the long slog up the narrow trails towards the finish which cost me 10 points and ended up 4 secs over 47. Other than that didn't really lose any time. Ended up with 520, Steve-510, Keelan-490.

Orienteering race (SOS #5) 19:59 [5] *** 3.24 km (6:10 / km) +83m 5:28 / km
spiked:23/28c shoes: Asics Kayano 22

Good technical course in the wet making it slippery and generally pretty slow. Made a number of errors including looking for #5 and then heading north out of control (10 secs), couldn't work out how to get from #10 to #11 due to mapping error not putting an impassable wall in between the controls on the map (20 secs), #13 ended up on the top of the control apparently 3 levels - not mapped quite correctly but not sure how you'd fix it (30 secs), #17 not the best route choice (10 secs) and #20 looking on the the wrong level (15 secs). Finished 5 secs behind Broondog.

spiked:30/30c shoes: Asics Kayano 22

Soo tired still from the weekend. Didn't lose any time on course but slightly twisted bad ankle early on running along grass from #1 so had to take it easier on trails. Got all 1.33 over for 580. Glenn 600, Ondrej/Toby-580, Paul/Keelan-570, Steve/James/Duncan-560.
