Orienteering (Metro League) 29:14 [5] *** 3.6 km (8:07 / km)
ahr:169 max:186 spiked:9/12c shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2008

Metro League on Mitchell Park. Quite hot conditions and overran the first on 1:7,500 map. I lost a minute on no.3 too high and hesitant and a few minor hesitations through the rest of the course. Running felt good but orienteering needed to flow more. Did 29.14 ahead of Boris 31.30.

Adventure Race (City Chase - Sydney) 3:05:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Kayano 15

City Chase with Ben. Started at King St Wharf and first caught the train to Milsons Point for a questionaire CP at Kirribilli Hotel and a swim CP at Luna Park Pool, we then got the train again to St.Leonards and played simulation golf and art school then caught a train back to Wynyard. There was a little time lost trying to find the CP's at St.Leonards. We then did a CP at Rebel nearby (more time lost as it had relocated) and then ran to Woolloomoolloo Hotel for a charity CP. Others were telling us that the next CP at Woolloomoolloo which contained 3 CPs that the queues were too long so we decided to skip them. We then ran to Circular Quay for a Blackberry CP and then to Four Seasons for a spray tan CP, then another long run to Pyrmont to eat a Chicken foot and yet another long run to Glebe to find some numbers in a box full of spiders, worms etc. I was really struggling to keep with Ben for the last half hour. Finished 4th - 10 minutes behind winners. Route plan was not the best and should have got the 3 CPs at Woolloomoolloo earlier.

O starting from UTS Ku-Ring-Gai. Felt good and only really lost time on a misplaced control. Route choice a little hard to decide. Got all but 2 controls in 51.00 so 520 points.

Sprint at Balls Head. Lost little bits of time on no.1 and 4 then ok till no.11 – all up just over a minute lost. Everyone seemed to be making errors today on a tricky course. Got round in 17.42, Prong-18.43, Tim Rogers-19.30.

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series) 43:00 [5] ***
ahr:166 max:178 spiked:27/30c shoes: Asics Kayano 15

O at Gladesville Hospital. Was running pretty well except could have made a couple better route choices saving up to 2 minutes. Got all controls in 43.00, Glen Horrocks did 42.50 and a bunch including Boris, Steve Ryan and Brendon Hatton just under 45 minutes.

ahr:163 max:177 spiked:8/13c shoes: Brooks Adrenaline ASR

O at Manly Dam. Was all over the place and made some big errors today. Lost 15 secs on no.2 starting on a route choice then changing mind, then no.3 lost 1.40 on the others when I couldn’t find a control in the rock, next few were ok but no.9 lost another 20 secs being on the wrong unmapped rockface then another 50 seconds on no.11 looking in the wrong spot and finally another 10 seconds following Prong overrun no.12. Disaster!! Down 2 minutes on Steve/Ezy.
