Orienteering race (Sydney Club Event) 48:44 [5] 8.33 km (5:51 / km) +133m 5:25 / km

O at West Chatswood. Felt tired and slow. Still haven't recovered from the Bridge Run last Sunday plus the ride yesterday didn't help. Achilles problem is back but at least I know the cause so a trip to the physio should fix it.

Haven't done a road race in years. Started in Milsons Point well back and it took a while to get going through the crowds on such a narrow start line. Once I got onto the harbour bridge started to be able to stride out. Felt ok - don't think I can run much faster these days. Km splits were getting slower all the way to the finish.

Very frustrating! Was in lead group but someone had changed one of the markers. I ended up running 1.64km extra. Others did more and others did less. Felt great though and finished 7th. Lost a few spots to some that didn't run the extra distance but may have gained 1-2. Was on target for 2.32 to 2.34 , 6-8 minutes better than last year but ended up doing 10 secs slower.
