Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series) 57:00 [5] ***
ahr:163 max:180 spiked:29/30c

O at Tania Park near Manly. Legs were feeling really tired but otherwise feeling pretty good. Got all controls in 57 minutes (12 minutes over time) but I think I still won by 40 points. Really windy and cold today so I didn't hang around.

Adventure Race race (Kodak Urban Max) 3:58:00 [5]
ahr:146 max:188

Did race with Ben. Came 4th. Didn't get the best route choice coz couldn't figure out all the clues.
Started on a ferry from Sydney Aquarium to Circular Quay and then ran to the Opera House for our clues. We started running to the Rocks, Capitol Theatre, Paddys Markets, Glebe, Fish Markets, Darling Harbour, Bathurst Street and then a long run out to Centennial Park and down to Double Bay. We then caught a bus to Kings Cross and ran to Finger Wharf and Wynyard where we caught a train to St.Leonards for rock climbing and ran to North Sydney for the train back to Central and the finish at Sydney Uni.
Hot conditions. Felt pretty good most of the day.

ahr:163 max:185 spiked:26/29c

Felt ok but legs were sore and very tired. Struggled for speed and on the hills. Lost about 4 minutes altogether on the course on 3 controls. Tied for 1st on 510 with Robbie.

Orienteering race (Turkey Trot) 1:37:00 [5] ***
spiked:23/26c

Turkey Trot from Castle Hill to Parramatta on 6 maps. Was out in the lead or in sight of the lead for the whole course. Made a few little errors which allowed the field to catch back up at times. Overall felt pretty good and pulled away from Ben and Robbie running to the last control and came in first. Mounty ended up winning on time bonuses made at traffic lights - rorted. In this race u are rewarded for waiting at traffic lights.
