Orienteering (Shadowing) 1:30:00 [2] 3.5 km (25:43 / km)
shoes: Nike Flex Trail

Shadowed Gavan, a young(7-8yrs) junior from my club around the peoples relay. He sprints really fast but then slows down a lot if he is confused. It was kinda a cooldown but also nice to run in the Ottawa/arnprior forests some more.

Orienteering race (Sprint) 18:39 [5] 3.4 km (5:29 / km)
shoes: Nike Flex Trail

This race went really well for me, reading ahead/avoiding traps and running speed/ keeping a fast pace throughout went well. Lost time: carefully reading map before 5 but avoided a trap, not quite the right direction out of 9, read wrong number on eleven so had to check code again, and couldn't find the go control( expected it to be at the end of the ribbon, didn't read map carefully enough. Lost maybe 30s total. I really enjoyed this race. Also, I came in third which was super awesome!!!!! Only behind Izzy and Emma W. And beat Melanie by only 7s.

Orienteering warm up/down 30:00 [3] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Flex Trail

Running, dynamic stretches and map reading before sprint race. Got abit confused due to discrepancies between what I saw and map but whatever.

Orienteering race (Relay) 16:32 [5] 2.6 km (6:22 / km)
shoes: XTalon 190

Relay at NAOC as first leg runner of jr. Team 2. Me, Trevor, Alex, and Rachel M. My race went very very well, kept up with some fast people and made no mistakes, only small hesitations leaving the start, 6 and 5, at a path going to 6 and in the exchange area. Navigation and running speed went well. Very exciting and fun.

Orienteering race (NAOC long) 1:45:53 [4] 6.54 km (16:11 / km) +80m 15:15 / km
shoes: Bold

This race went fairly well, some mistakes but relocated quickly, no major problems. Came in 4th which was good.
Missed a trail and poor bearing on 3. Wrong marsh on 4. 5 was very exciting as me, Emma w. , Laura and Izzy (4-1st place) were all there. Smart route choice on 7:). Didn't go far enough of trail on 8 at first. Left path too early on 9, had to relocate but did it quickly. Rest went well, I think my endurance and speed at the end were surprisingly good so yay training! Seems I made a lot of mistakes but I was still pretty happy with this race, the terrain was very tricky and I think everyone struggled.

Orienteering (Middle NAOC ) 1:16:21 [3] 3.5 km (21:49 / km)
shoes: XTalon 190

This race went very poorly even after I missed my start by 52 mins. Bad bearings and distance estimation, bad route choices, lack of concentration. However after the spectator control it went quite well and I actually had quite a lot of fun - it's a lovely area to orienteer in. Very inconsistent orienteering. Result was unfortunately overtime.

Orienteering (Model event) 2:00:00 [3] 5.0 km (24:00 / km)
shoes: XTalon 190

Looking at features with Isaac and Tyson. Went well. Realized lots abOut terrain.
Then relocation with Justine and T and I. Also went well.
Then I did some faster pace stuff by myself. One control went very poorly but then I realized I had to be more careful and the rest went well.
