I know how easy it can be to get lost in grot round Wendover, so I decided to focus on accuracy and staying in map contact. Pleased with how it went on the whole and with my lack of speed, seemed like the best option.
Took the safe route to #5 on the path, but still ran passed it. Had to double back. Lost 20s.
Tried to follow a white corridor out of #6, but it all got a bit vague and I had to relocate to the path that ran above #7. I should have just gone south out of #6 to that path.
Was worried about plowing through undergrowth, uphill out of #11, so went to the gully north of #11, which was whiter on the map. There were lots of fallen trees though, which slowed me down a lot. I seemed to lose about 90s seconds here, so maybe straighter would have been better.
I picked up a train with Laura and Helen after #12 and although I tried to stay honest and keep navigating, having 2 people lead me into the controls made what was probably the hardest part of the course much easier.
