Swimming 1:00:00 [4] 2.0 km (30:00 / km)

did loads of lengths as Arlene wasn't there so John took us and we just did lots of 40m knee was a bit sore at the start but it loosened off as i got going which was good. saw Sara before swimming and she did some Reiki on my knee and said swimming would be really good for it.

Wednesday Oct 5, 2016 #

5 PM

RUNNING 27:45 [2] 4.4 km (6:18 / km)

ran down towards the point and then before turning off the route i would have taken to go down to the point, i went up the path to the chapel and then up onto the hill above the chapel, ran up there and then back down and then back along the road.
this was my test run to see if i could go to the JHIs but my knee was quite twingy when running one terrain and i didn't really feel safe so i was going quite slowly along the terrain part.
don't think i am going to go to the JHIs :(
but i feel like it is the best decision and i wouldn't be able to run well and i might do something worse to my knee and that wouldn't be good. it also means that i won't be letting the team down and Mairi can run well for Scotland.

ORIENTEERING race 20:00 [5] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)

ran the first five controls of the JEC relay spectator race and then my other knee collapsed at number 5 which was really rubbish and so had to be carried back to the arena.
luckily Kim was there and so she had a look at my knee and said it was ok.
it didn't even swell up so ill hopefully be ok for the weekend.
