went along the hill to barrahormid then down and back along to the loch. then up to the trip point and along the ridge. down the fields and back along the road. such a beautiful day, so I was glad I did my long run today, really beautiful looking over to Jura

JK long distance, quite proud of my run today as I managed to get round my longest course yet! didn't make any really bad mistakes but was quite slow to some of the long legs where I just used my compass. again, not very technical and not enough climb! finished 14th overall

JK middle distance. really nice area but the orienteering was not technical: I just ran on a compass bearing for most legs. still really fun but was unsure and made some stupid mistakes as I was just running a bit too fast for my compass

did the JK sprint, didn't do very well as I made a stupid mistake at number 8 - going round the wrong side of the building! then made other stupid mistakes as well so lost quite lot of time.

at Auchingarrach, did two courses, the first was a corridor exercise, then an attackpoint course where I mucked up number 4 and ended up near 5 so had to go back. then we did a fun exercise at the end

did the 'Plan It' at Sauchi Crags which was really nice, then the 'Talk It' with Eilidh C which we walked. then a little bit of the 'Run It' with Eilidh, Kirsty, Lizzie, Ali and Louis. really nice orienteering in the sun!

ran over the hill to barrahormid and back along the road. legs still a bit sore from the weekend when running up the hills but a really nice run

ORIENTEERING race 1:20:24 [5] 6.52 km (12:20 / km) +410m 9:23 / km

Sol 2 at the Trossachs, number 1 was ok but then I took 15 mins to get to number 2 : made a parallel error and dithered around. blaming this on being extremely tired! tried to regain my confidence but made a really stupid mistake at number 6 which was really annoying - took 6 mins on a 2min leg. did ok in the end but really annoyed because if I hadn't made those mistakes I would have benn about 15 mins faster

middle distance at South Achray. first bit was really nice but then I made a few stupid mistakes and didn't regain my flow. Saving myself for tomorrow!! :)
