Novembertävlingarna, medel
Not a great run, lots and lots of stupid mistakes.
Noticed at the start that my head was very tired but didn't think to do anything about it. 4 big mistakes - from not reading contours, not checking compass + exit direction, not reading map, not looking up or around. Tired and not thinking well enough and making stupid mistakes.
Lots learnt though as always and of course nice forest and event makes it always fun.

KM Lång // Novembertävlingarna, lång
Julian shadowed me around this which was good and god to be able to get feedback on my orienteering afterwards.
In general and okay run, some good bits but definitely a lot to keep working on the fix up.
Main things were losing time from walking when I read the map and also looking at the map too much. Also need to generalise better so that i can get through the leg better, and then need to be more aggressive in getting through the forest.
Definitely was pushing better throughout the course because of Jules following me, so got tired quicker and then had to keep going through it.
Need to get better at recognising shapes and also lok up and scan around more - would've saved me 3 mins on #6. Brain switched off along the track to #12 and then full cooked that loop of short legs with bad exits and not reading at all. Should've just gone straight, instead of going with my habit of trying unnecessarily to use tracks to #18, needed to not worry about all the detail/crap and just simplified it.
So lots to keep working on. Fun though!

Didn't feel better or worse after this but probably shouldn't have done it and just rested in stead. Technique not good though because I didn't have a belt. Some of the recoveries I did breaststroke which felt better. Sauna after was nice though.
Got a pass for the next 6 months though which is good, now just need to make sure I get my money's worth out of it!
