Sprint intervals at Epilä
Sprint intervals with a few mins break between each. First one was mainly running, took a few round routes because I wanted to see what parts of the map were which got me caught on some muddy tracks which I took real slow because I didn’t want to wreck my shoes. Next 2 were more technical. Felt like I was thinking more and navigating better on the second one which was good and tried to get a bit more speed in too. Leg behind the knee was getting pretty sore at the end of this one though, so I struggled to push as much as I wanted to in the third, which was even more technical. Good to have to think more when you’re tired. Mucked up one because I got confused by the buildings and scale but I think in the end I was in the right spot, though without control descriptions or flags I can’t be sure. Some routes weren’t ideal but it was mostly fine, though I was going slower because of my leg and my legs were pretty heavy in general.
Good session though, and really good to get my mind into sprint o mode.

Sprint training at Järvensivu run by Jarrah's club. Running one of the elite courses from the Grano games.
This was good, and though I struggled to push because of my leg, I think I was navigating and thinking better than this morning, which is good.
Enjoyed this and found it really beneficial, especially as I think it was fairly relevant to what the sprint race will be like.

Training at Makkarajärvi
I went 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 15, half way to 16 (turned away near 2 because I saw something which looked kinda dodgy and freaked out and just wanted to get out as soon as I could), 18, finish.
Started out really slow and went safely (e.g. going all the way to the tops of hills and finding other definite features). Got a bit confused on the way to 2 because I lost exact contact for a little bit and the same also happened on the way to 4. Took the track pretty much the whole way to 15 but then got slightly confused again when I went in because I started second guessing myself and thought that I could be on a knoll further down. Then tracks the whole way to 18 and out to the finish. Was also getting confused by the scale because I thought it was 1:10 000 but it was actually 1:7500.
Had some good confident moments which was nice. My watch hasn't been working recently so I took my phone with me which was a bit annoying to run with but good to take nice piccys though
Was super fun, really enjoyed this!

At the Gold Coast all day for a uni thing so wasn't able to go for a run. Leg behind the knee was quite sore last night and then again a bit today so I think it was good to not run on it.

Wanted to get in lots of hills so was keen for this run. First up was Brisbane's steepest street: the legendary Gower street. Nice night and lots warmer than last time which was so nice.
Leg behind the knee got quite sore again, starting to get fed up with it. Might try strapping it at some point.
Watch wouldn't get gps which was a bit of a bum but luckily I had to run with my phone anyway so strava came to my rescue.
