DM Stafett 1st leg
Really fun to run 1st leg again!
Mostly good, was running well and able to push.
Super frustrated at myself though because I lost concentration for a little bit just before #4, then started second guessing myself and stopped too early, then on top of that I didn't do anything useful to try to relocate (eg check compass etc) so was just wandering around even though I knew i was super close. Didn't pick the safest route either so should've been trying to be extra focused but instead was just being stupid. Though didn't even see the track option when I was picking so that's also my fault there too. So then instead of being 30s in the lead i ended up being 5mins behind.
Then going to #5 might've been a bit faster going the whole way around on the track but I also lost a bit of time in the circle because there was way more big boulders irl than on the map and I couldn't pick which one was the actual one. Could've finished a bit faster too but knew it wouldn't count for anything so was being careful with footing on the rocks etc.
So overall some positives, need to learn to orienteer and race like this more when I'm on my own.

DM Stafett leg 3
Our third leg and reserve were both sick so we were going to be dnf/dq anyway so I went out and ran our third leg to make up the time for a long run today.
Super tired and dehydrated so made a stupid mistake on #2, didn't check compass and then wandered around for a bit trying to make the map fit.
Was worth going out again I think, good to build up strength in terrain and having to orienteer when tired.

Overall a fun day out with beaut weather and the arena was awesome complete with ski slope views and lake.
