Running - Road/Track (Down from Machu Picchu) 28:38 [3] 3.71 km (7:43 / km) +76m 7:00 / km
ahr:121 max:148

This was going to be a walk but rest of group elected to get the bus down, so decided to run it.
Descended about a million steps before the long drag back up to the hotel. Felt pretty good down the steps for 5th on the Strava segment, could definitely win it with another attempt but doubt I'll be back somehow...
Beat the bus down, which was the main thing and surprised everyone. Smashed the estimated time of 'an hour' quoted by the guide.

Also hiked Machu Picchu mountain (600m ascent; 40 mins ish) and to the Sun gate, and ran down from the Sun gate too getting some admiring comments from tourists (like 'that guy is going to die') and more favourably ('that is SO cool').

Views and overall experience amazing.

Running - Road/Track (Pre-breakfast jog) 15:35 [3] 2.64 km (5:54 / km) +82m 5:07 / km
ahr:137 max:157

Barely feeling the altitude at all now (2900m here) and stopped taking the pills yesterday.
Wanted to get up at 5 and climb a mountain again but no-one wanted to come with me, so I went for the lie-in instead.

Walking (Rainbow Mountain) 3:19:54 [3] 10.56 km (18:56 / km) +517m 15:12 / km
ahr:90 max:138

5200m altitude a bit tough. Felt like once you stopped it was really tough to get going again; lactic hit immediately.
Otherwise fine really. Fared better than a lot of people in the group; of the 14 of us I think 10 resorted to riding horses at some point and only 2 of us made it to the actual summit.

Amazing scenery.

Running - Trail hills (Pre-breakfast mountain) 1:27:25 [3] 3.6 km (24:17 / km) +447m 14:59 / km
ahr:123 max:158

Got up at 5am to climb the mountain next to the hotel; it looked on Google maps like there was a vague trail.

It was very vague - kept losing it. But amazing to watch the sunrise at 6am. Bit sketchy on the way down when I found myself at the top of cliffs a few times, just about made it though. Kept stopping to take photos and things.hopefully can persuade someone else to come up when we're back here in a few days - didn't get to the top as it started to get a bit dangerous and I was on my own with no gear.

Running - Trail (Peru high altitude ) 56:08 [4] 7.77 km (7:13 / km) +64m 6:56 / km
ahr:114 max:146

At 3500m you can really feel it.

Rest of the group was doing more MTB but I fancied a run. Amazing scenery. The guide (and the rest of the group) thought I was mental.

Lots of stops to allow the slow bikers to catch up - I was significantly ahead of them even downhill.

Cycling (Peru MTB) 29:51 [3] 6.62 km (13.3 kph) +72m
ahr:107 max:143

Pretty fun actually, never done it on a bike with suspension and proper offroad tyres. The group was pretty slow though so lots of stopping to let them catch up with the front people.
