Running - Trail (Edale To Kinder Downfall) 2:34:32 [3] 18.02 km (8:35 / km) +725m 7:08 / km
ahr:122 max:154 shoes: X-Talon 212 (May 17)

Pennine way definitely the best route!

Running - Trail race (Parkrun - Sherwood Pines) 18:48 [5] 5.0 km (3:46 / km) +48m 3:35 / km
shoes: Salomon Fellraiser

2nd. Another good one, more undulating than expected; most of the uphill comes all in one go. Scenic.
Lots of canicross made the start unpleasant.

Running - Road/Track (Neighbourhood Hoka test) 22:21 [3] 4.99 km (4:29 / km) +61m 4:13 / km
shoes: Hoka Cavu

Pretty hard to get a hilly run around here.
Hokas performed well on the greasy roads, pretty impressed with the grip.
Otherwise they are starting to feel very much like normal shoes.

Running - Road/Track (Hoka test run 1) 39:39 [4] 8.76 km (4:32 / km) +142m 4:11 / km
ahr:155 max:176 shoes: Hoka Cavu

Put in some effort on the uphill segment... and then won the downhill one by mistake (if you remove the cyclists).

Expected shoes to feel very different (they look very different) but actually feel pretty similar to the Pegasus.

Orienteering - Urban race (Bollington Street O) 1:23:41 [5] 17.45 km (4:48 / km) +267m 4:27 / km
ahr:147 max:165 shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Had been looking forward to this as when your running club puts on an o event, you know you have a good chance.

Lost confidence in the 1:20k map pretty much immediately as I'm used to the dots in the circle centres being where the feature is; rather than just in the general vicinity. Then was going to turn left after crossing a canal, but there was no canal (actually, the map was fine here, and the canal went OVER the road - but how often does that happen?! Also it was mapped as going under...) so missed that control.

Otherwise, judged it pretty well to be back well within the 90mins,probably had time to get one more in Prestbury but would've been cutting it very fine. It was very foggy so got a bit lost in a field coming back (some roads were OOB) but otherwise it went well.

Won with 220points, 2nd was 170 so a comfortable victory; a trophy and everything! Hopefully some people who enjoyed it will try the next MDOC street o in Jan.

Note

Bought a second hand fitbit from eBay exclusively to take part in my team at work's weekly competition.

I did 21k steps today; they're going to hate me

:D

Running - Road/Track (Picking up RW test shoes) 46:51 [3] 9.68 km (4:50 / km) +131m 4:32 / km
ahr:138 max:156 shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Which is probably for the best since these shoes have done over 1000kms now (although they still feel fine).
Running pretty well this evening.
