Sunday Jul 31 #

Note
(injured)

Tweaked the side of my left knee, so need to be sensible and take a few days off to let it get better.

Saturday Jul 30 #

9 AM

Trail Race race 24:49 [4] 5.07 km (4:53 / km) +4m 4:52 / km

University of Stirling parkrun #71. Hard effort on my first visit to a fairly flat course consisting of two and a bit laps of the loch at Stirling University. First full lap in 11:12 and second in 11:53. Official result 43/123 in 24:49.
3 PM

Hill Walk 1:21:26 [1] 4.95 km (16:27 / km) +169m 14:03 / km

Queen's View and The Whangie with R, A and Pippin on a very pleasant afternoon.

Friday Jul 29 #

Note
(rest day)

Much needed rest day.

Thursday Jul 28 #

4 PM

Terrain Run 1:14:52 [3] 8.77 km (8:32 / km) +243m 7:30 / km

Not the CLYDE Terrain Run. Solo plod with heavy legs through lush terrain on an extended clockwise loop around the 356 Trig. Struck again by the extent of the felling, and by the enormous new tracks on the western side of the hill. A bit of a slog, and definitely looking forward to a rest day tomorrow!

6 PM

Terrain Run 1:05:20 [3] 9.7 km (6:44 / km) +150m 6:15 / km

Overcome with a lack of imagination, and so just repeated last Wednesday's loop of Burncrooks in the opposite direction (i.e. anti-clockwise). Saw three runners, several fisher-folk, and one forestry worker this time. Felt rather stronger than last week, especially at the start, and went a bit quicker.

Tuesday Jul 26 #

7 PM

Interval Session 41:08 [4] 6.45 km (6:23 / km)

Garscube Interval Session at St. Peter's track. 10 x 200 m. Slightly heavy legs and a little short of breath on the last couple, but reasonably pleased with my first interval session since Covid.

Monday Jul 25 #

4 PM

Cycling 1:59:01 [3] 38.18 km (3:07 / km) +453m 2:57 / km

To Killearn and back. First time I've done this loop for a while and I'd forgotten quite how far it was. Getting tired towards to end. A good workout.
