Orienteering 1:08:31 [3] 7.48 km (9:09 / km) +207m 8:03 / km

UKOL and YHOA Super League Event, Ilkley Moor (again), Blue (6.0km, 170 m) in 68:29 (official). Last night's snow had disappeared to be replaced with high winds, rain and biblically wet conditions underfoot. A much cleaner run than last night, with the only significant time losses due to a strugging to get my map into a map bag as the start (-0:30). hesitation at 8 (-1:30) and a slow route followed by confusion in the circle at 9 (-1:30).

Road Race race 30:40 [2] 5.04 km (6:05 / km)
ahr:158 max:165

Victoria parkrun #343. Another Saturday, another slow jog around Victoria parkrun, this time on a lovely crisp morning with sunshine out of a clear blue sky around an alternative course (with slightly more distance and slightly more climb) avoiding the biggest puddles. Official result 187/261 in 30:44.

What a shame that the Devil's Burdens Relay was cancelled for a second (and final) time today: the conditions are perfect to be out on the hills!

Orienteering 1:18:08 [3] 7.78 km (10:03 / km) +261m 8:36 / km

British Night Orienteering Championships 2022, Ilkley Moor (very much with hat!), M55 (5.6 km, 190 m) in 78:07 (official). Snowfall during the day made for challenging conditions with lots of elephant tracks, but disappointed not to navigate much better than I did, with significant misses at 1 (-3:00), 3 (-3:00), 8 (-2:00) and 13 (-0:30) and a poor route choice with extra climb on 4-5 (-2:00). The podium was probably out of reach, but Championship Standard (69:25) was definitely possible with a cleaner run.

Terrain Run 54:06 [3] 7.09 km (7:38 / km) +242m 6:31 / km

CLYDE Terrain Run. Anti-clockwise loop of The Whangie with Dave R and Ty S in daylight for the first time since last Autumn. Working fairly hard on the the climbs. A good workout in surprisingly good conditions.

Terrain Run 1:03:28 [3] 8.03 km (7:54 / km) +245m 6:52 / km

Avoided the worst of the rain and the coming Storm Dudley (!) but not the biblical amount of water underfoot (all the paths had turned into streams, even high up the hill) to do a slow lunchtime plod round the 356 Trig loop. Saw no-one and nothing except mist and some very damp sheep. Despite the rain, felt better at the end than at the beginning.

Cycling 1:24:03 [3] 24.78 km (3:24 / km) +285m 3:12 / km

Usual figure-of-eight out on the backroads through Baldernock to Torrence and back on an expectedly sunny afternoon after the downpours all weekend. Saw several other cyclists on the backroads for the first time in ages.
