Terrain Run 1:02:18 [3] 7.2 km (8:39 / km) +246m 7:24 / km

356 Trig anti-clockwise returning via the bunker with Emma and Alice. A combination of the early start, the rain, the icy water and frozen water underfoot, and heavy legs from yesterday (!) made this one of the slowest and most painful runs I can remember for a long time, but at least we were finished by 10 am!

Road Race race 24:20 [4] 4.93 km (4:56 / km) +61m 4:39 / km

Levengrove parkrun #33. Virtually all of the Glasgow parkruns were off due to ice, but Levengrove (and presumably the other survivor Greenock on the other side of the Clyde) was totally ice free on a damp but surprisingly mild morning. Although the time was only 12 seconds quicker, this felt more like a run than on my last visit in December. Sub-24 next time, I hope! Official result 31/143 (1st VM 55-59) in 24:21.

Orienteering 48:07 [3] 5.67 km (8:29 / km) +115m 7:42 / km

FVO Local Event Colzium, Blue Course (4.7 km, 160 m) in 50:09. Slow plod round the Blue Course on a cool and damp but sunny Saturday lunchtime with very heavy legs after the parkrun earlier in the day. Small wobbles in the circle at 3, 8 and 16, but the most significant mistakes were a miss at 6 (due to an unmapped track) and stupidly going to 16 before 15!

Terrain Run 51:06 [3] 7.09 km (7:13 / km) +215m 6:16 / km

CLYDE Terrain Run. A surprisingly pleasant trip up and down Cochno Hill with Emma (who did some extra loops). Partly frozen ground made for pretty good going underfoot, and clear skies were a pleasant surprise after the heavy rain earlier in the day.

Cycling 1:25:00 [3] 24.66 km (3:27 / km) +286m 3:15 / km

A new variation going out through Milngavie, past Douglaston Loch, then up the backroad to Baldernock, before going on the backroads to Torrence and then returning along the backroads to Baldernock and home through Milngavie. Started in sunshine, but finished with very cold hands in the rapidly gathering gloom.

Family Walk around Burncrooks clockwise with Rachel, Emma and Pippin on a clear, sunny and cold Tuesday lunchtime. Lots of other walkers (and their dogs) out too

Terrain Run 1:05:53 [3] 7.74 km (8:31 / km) +343m 6:58 / km

Emma wanted to do some hills, so I plodded round The Slacks clockwise which she also went up and down Cocho Hill as well. Rather cooler and more blustery than I expected, and very slippery underfoot. Not too many other people out on the hills today.
