10 AM

Mixed Terrain Run 10:00 [1]

Gentle warm up through the site of the Battle of Bannockburn.
11 AM

Urban Orienteering race 54:35 [4] 9.73 km (5:37 / km) +62m 5:26 / km

FVO Stirling South MapRun 45 Minute Score Course in 54:33 (official). Another score orienteering fail, 17 x 20 - 10 x 10 = 240, 10 points less than Rachel (280 - 30 = 250) on a damp Sunday morning! Good workout on an interesting course with some tricky choices.

Strength and Conditioning 41:00 [3]

Strength and Conditioning via Zoom with R.
3 PM

Cycling 50:10 [3] 15.72 km (3:12 / km) +191m 3:01 / km

To Milngavie and then along the WHW to Mugdock Visitors' Centre and back past Mugdock Reservoirs. Misty at the Visitors' Centre, and cold hands despite gloves by the end.

5 PM

Mixed Terrain Run 1:05:58 [3] 10.5 km (6:17 / km) +55m 6:07 / km

Walk round Loch Ardinning with R in the gathering gloom, then steady run back home via Mugdock Visitors' Centre, Mugdock Castle, the Boardwalk, Milngavie and Craigdu Wedge in the dark. An unusual twist on some familiar places.

11 AM

Cycling 1:14:09 [4] 25.25 km (2:56 / km) +259m 2:48 / km

Lunctime cycle to Milngavie then Mugock, Baldernock, Torrence, back to Baldernock, and back home through Milngavie at reasonable pace (for me) on a pleasant and occasionally sunny Thursday lunchtime.

Wednesday Nov 4, 2020 #

2 PM

Terrain Run 49:43 [3] 6.62 km (7:30 / km) +234m 6:23 / km

Afternoon loop of The Whangie from Queen's View in 49:43. Nice to get out in daylight, but blustery on the hill and surprisingly muddy underfoot on the main tracks.

Tuesday Nov 3, 2020 #

7 PM

Interval Session 46:48 [5] 6.74 km (6:57 / km) +78m 6:34 / km

First (socially distanced) Garscube interval session since lockdown. Brief warm up, then 4 x 1 km with a significant climb for the first half, then a brief warm down. Hard work in a new location between Crow Road and Great Western Road.
